Evangelism is on Fire in the Hearts of Middle Schoolers
Friday Night Lights is a lunchtime Evangelism club that teaches students how to share their faith with others. Beginning with learning how to share their own testimonies, students are encouraged to speak authentically about what God has done in their own lives.
Learning other evangelistic methods gives students flexibility as they share with others and simply provides a framework for them to converse easily about their faith. By doing this, they also learn basic apologetics which deepens and enriches their own appreciation of the gospel.
Throughout the school year, students will be invited to evangelize in many different locations around Riverside, including the Galleria at Tyler, Riverside Plaza, and others. It is exciting to watch students pray for others, become good listeners, and hone their evangelistic skills. Their boldness is inspiring!
“For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. How then will they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in Him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”
