Discipleship Groups

Student-led groups that engage learning to follow Jesus

People come to know and love Jesus through other people. One of the unique ways we try to cultivate this experience on our High School campus is through Discipleship Groups (D-Groups). These groups (boys and girls) are student led and meet every week on Wednesdays during lunch. It’s an incredible opportunity for Woodcrest Christian students to practically follow Jesus in the context of community.

Nobody walks with Christ alone and there is so much encouragement and accountability provided for the students through our these groups. Their focus is to study God’s word together and allow the Word to study them, while receiving some guidance from other students. In fact many of the upper classmen (Seniors and Juniors) are challenged in their leadership by applying and being selected to lead these groups at the beginning of every year. Sign up to be in a discipleship group through the link to the right.

Every student at Woodcrest Christian is invited and encouraged to join a D-group at the start of each school year in the Fall. Our hope is that by the end of the year students would reflect more of Christ in their lives and see the value of giving themselves to fellow believers in community.
