Alumni Spotlight: Justin Romero ’11

Justin Romero began his WCSS journey in Kindergarten, making him a “lifer” at the time of his graduation in 2011. It was in 2012 that he enlisted in the Navy and completed a deployment with the USS Kearsarge (LHD 3). During his deployment, Justin applied and was accepted to the Naval Academy pending completion of a one-year program at the Naval Academy Preparatory School in Newport, RI. Rhode Island will always hold a special place in Justin’s heart, because during his time in school, he met his fiancé, Samantha, who was attending the University of Rhode Island.

Come May 24th, Justin will be graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Quantitative Economics from the United States Naval Academy and commissioning as a Surface Warfare Officer. He is headed to the USS William P. Lawrence (DDG 110) out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Excitedly, Justin is also getting married in June to his fiancé, Samantha, at the Naval Academy.

Woodcrest Christian is so proud of Justin and all his accomplishments! We are so excited to see where God takes him in the future, and we wish him health and happiness in his new marriage.
