For the 15th year, the Dean of the School of Medicine at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Dr. Roger Hadley, invited Woodcrest Christian seniors enrolled in Anatomy and Physiology to a “Careers in Medicine” tour that was brimming with unique behind the scenes opportunities.
The day was spent touring the only Christian teaching medical school in the United States that included labs, simulation centers and hearing presentations by leading physicians, including cardiologists, and a pathologist.
Students heard from the Dean the importance of hitting the ground hard from the get go when entering college, and from countless doctors and technicians the importance of whole person care. The students were treated “royally” and left feeling empowered to take on undergrad with determination and vision for serving in the medical field.
