Woodcrest Christian Middle School has two very successful choirs that are separated by experience and ability level. Our choirs practice every day as an elective class for our students and perform in chapels, concerts, and competitions throughout the year. The students learn the basics of choral music including reading music, tonality, rhythm, posture, pacing, parts, and performance. There is no experience necessary and the students always do very well under the direction of Mr. Ben Halsne.
Our performance-based choirs have several major concert events through the course of the year; the fall Broadway Concert, the winter Christmas Concert, the Spring Concert, and in June they perform the Concert in the Park. Throughout the year they also will have several events and other field trips.
