Grandparents Day

Calling all Grandparents! We want to celebrate you and the wonderful influence you have with your grandchild(ren)!

Coming up on Thursday, October 20, 2022, Grandparents Day will include many fun opportunities for students to connect and honor their grandparents.

Below is a list of events for the day. Please note that this is still a regular day of instruction for students. We ask that only grandparents participate in the opportunities provided.

Grandparents Day Special Events on October 20th:

  • Grandparents, drop your grandchild off at school in the morning! All grandparents that drop off their student will receive a doughnut!
  • Grandparents, pick up your grandchild after school! Be sure to stop by our photo booth after school for a fun, take-home printed picture with you and your student!
  • RSVP to attend the Grandparents Day chapel program. Join your grandchild for a special chapel program celebrating grandparents. This program will be held in the sanctuary at the church next door to WCDS. An online RSVP registration is required and seating is limited to the first 250 registrants in each session. This event is for grandparents only (unless they require physical assistance from a parent).
  • 9:00 a.m. Session: For grandparents whose grandchild’s last name begins with A-J.
  • 10:30 a.m. Session: For grandparents whose grandchild’s last name begins with K-Z.
  • Send a Special Message. When you RSVP for the chapel program (yes or no), you can submit a message to your grandchild that we will deliver to them on Grandparents Day! Use link below to RSVP and submit your message.
