Sixth Grade Science Camp

This April, the sixth grade students at RCDS made their yearly trip up the mountain to Palomar Christian Conference Center for Science Camp. This year’s theme, “Dear God,” was designed to strengthen their relationship with God and with others.  The four-day camp was packed with non-stop activity and fun.  Team building, an RCDS favorite, is comprised of tasks such as helping each other across a series of rope courses and balancing together on a large board.  Our students also enjoyed the compass class where they used this common instrument to reach a destination, continuing to develop their trust and camaraderie with each other.  Daily Bible studies, nightly worship around the campfire, along with Christian-based science classes were all designed to point the kids to Jesus.  In addition to the structured activities, students also had free time where they could choose from a variety of exciting activities such as zip lining, horseback riding, archery, and paintballing.  This is a week our students will always remember as they continue to grow in godliness and character.
