2017/2018 Season Highlights

Flag Football: Finished strong with two wins at the post-season tournament

Volleyball: Girls team placed 4th in very tough Ambassador League. They lost in the 1st round of C.I.F., but finished with a good overall record of 16-9. They took 2nd place in the Azusa Tournament.

Tennis: Girls team took 2nd place in league. Best record in school history (14-5). They won two playoff matches. Kennedy Layne was the singles league champion. Lauren Showalter and Erica Danfifer were league MVP’s for doubles. All three girls will advance to C.I.F. individuals on November 20.

Cross Country:

— Varsity Boys Cross Country wins state record 28th consecutive title…a CIF state record!

— Varsity Girls Cross Country Team 1st place in league! 5th consecutive League Championship! They will compete in C.I.F prelims in November.

Middle School Highlights

Cross Country: Boys team won the league championship! Girls team placed 6th.

Volleyball: Boys team won the league championship! Girls team lost in semi-finals.

2016/2017 Year-End Season Highlights

Baseball: Our Varsity Baseball team tied for 1st place with an overall record of 17-5 and 9-1 in league. The team has been beset with injuries—the most in WCS history—yet they overcame and had an outstanding season.

Softball: This year our team greatly improved, and headed to CIF Playoffs!

Golf: Our Golf team rebuilt this year and finished fifth out of eight. Two players made Second Team All Ambassador League: Nathan Thornton and Elijah Brown.

Swim: With few team members, our swim team competed well in league. Eight athletes advanced to CIF competition. Mathias Scarano set the 200 meter freestyle school record on May 3rd.

Track & Field: Our Royals did well with girls finishing second and boys finishing third. Fourteen athletes advance to CIF Individual Competition.

Boys Volleyball: Our team finished in 2nd place and will advance to CIF Playoffs.

Mountain Biking: Congratulations to our Mountain Biking team, league champions for the second year in a row!

National Letter of Intent Day

Three WCS Seniors sign to play Division 1 athletics!

Congratulations to our three Seniors signing letters of intent on November 8, 2017 to play Division 1 athletics: Brandon Boissiere playing baseball at USC, Brett Finnel playing baseball at UC Santa Barbara, and Taylor Olsen playing softball at Grand Canyon University.
